There was tremendous excitement at Portumna Retirement Village on Tuesday 3rd March when Maria Walsh, the current International Rose of Tralee called to visit the residents.

Maria was delightful and had a kind word for everyone.

Maria was accompanied on her visit by local business owner Muirne Goode, who herself is a former Rose of Tralee.

To mark the occasion, a presentation of a crystal piece was made to Maria by the residents.
